every time i come home to good ole' RVA, i always visit this special place. carytown is a strip of local shops and restaurants and is a very special place for all of us richmonders. this time i took my momma and we had a splendid time. i got the new head and the heart record, red j-crew corduroy crop pants, and the fourth harry potter book. donuts and tea were a given and we even stopped to take a quick look at the old grtc bus stop, which has some of the coolest street art i have ever seen. take a look for yourself. and don't worry. i will be taking em on an adventure day on tuesday, so be prepared for a picture heavy post next week.
^^seriously the best children books ever. and do you see what the one on the bottom is called?! it's about knitting! now you know what to get me for my baby shower in the (far) future.^^
^^i just love this city of mine.^^
^^how else would you end the day?^^
I am so glad I stumbled upon your blog through Lost in Travels! I love how adventurous, full of life and so much joy and faith you have at this age. I only wish I was like you when I was in college! You have an amazing adventure ahead of you. Good luck with finishing your senior year and "becoming" an adult. It is one crazy, challenging but exciting journey! I cant wait to follow you and see where God leads you! God Bless!
ReplyDeleteThank you so so much! That is too sweet!
DeleteThis place is so precious! Love all the street art.
ReplyDeleteI know I already replied to your comment on Lost in Travels, but I am just completely in love with your blog and your passion to become an ESL teacher! I am a junior in college right now and becoming an ESL teacher is definitely on my radar. If it actually works out I would love to talk to you about it! I cannot wait to see where God takes you in 2014.

DeleteI love the name of your blog, Jess and Joy. I don't know if you noticed, but I have a Jess too. I have always liked Grafitti, if it was used to show goodness. Thank you for the prayer for my brother-in-law. I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, and let's follow eachother, shall we?
