Little Ballerinas | Spring 2015

6/8/15

Thanking the Lord today for these little ballerinas that have been an immense blessing in my life.
I will miss them dearly as we head into a new season at Grace Arts, but am excited for what's to come!

Summer Travels

5/27/15

Because all of my pictures lately are with this guy.
Going to be roadtripping and traveling all over this country in the next couple of weeks, so excuse the silence during this whirlwind of summer.

Hope your week has been a good one, filled with things and people that encourage and motivate you to never give up.
Don't ever stop chasing those dreams of yours.

Also, if anyone knows of where I can get birkenstocks NOT on backorder that would be great, thank you.
They are a necessity for California, obviously.
(Note that traveling means lots of great picture-filled posts and maybe even a video or two!  Lost time will be made up for accordingly)

Carter's Mountain Orchard

5/22/15

A couple of weeks ago, my sweet guy and I took a road trip to his hometown.  He took me to the apple orchard that I have been wanting to go to for so long.  Now we just need to go in the Fall when all of the yummy apples are in season!

Pretty views and donuts. Does this guy get me or what?!
Once again, I am oh so thankful for him and our many adventures.

RVA Days | Pole Green Church

5/8/15

I'm such a free-spirit and adventurer that my little heart was aching after not being able to capture the beauty that is always around me.

The night before this solo mini-adventure I had just poured my heart out to my boyfriend about how I felt like my creativity and passions were being squelched and I felt so trapped and discouraged because of it.  He sweetly encouraged me, as he always does, to do what I can now with what I have. It may seem as if I may never see my dreams come to complete fruition, but I can take small steps now to get me to where I dream of being later in life.

I've been praying lately for a clearer vision for my future and how it will incorporate the passions I've been given me.

I'm still trying to figure it out and it may take a while.  But I know my next step, and that is what I will work on for now.  Until that day comes when I am getting to do what I love full-time, I will make the most of what I have today for it is a blessing.

Happy Birthday | Jason Andrew

5/4/15

my best friend's birthday was yesterday and I just had so much fun surprising him and finally being able to give him his presents.  he is the best.  he is such a hard worker and always giving of himself to others, that he deserved nothing short of the best on his birthday.  with this man by my side and this smile on my face, I'd say life couldn't get much sweeter.

Lynchburg Life | James River Footbridge + Woodruff's

4/30/15

My last weekend in Lynchburg, I was sitting around at home doing nothing, bored out of my mind. My roomies friend (who quickly became my friend as well) was sitting in the living room, doing what I thought was homework.  I found out she was actually shopping online, so we both agreed that we clearly needed an adventure. So we hopped in the car and headed for the mountains.  We drove on one of my favorite roads to the footbridge and stopped to dream, take pictures, and talk about just how great the Lord is. On our way back, we made not one, but two stops. How can you say no to homeade pie and icecream?!

I will admit that I have been known for these crazy, spur-of-the-moment, hop in the car and drive who knows where adventures.  But I think those are the best kind of adventures anyway, right?

RVA Days | Rocket Fizz

4/26/15

Before I moved back to my hometown, I came home for the weekend to pray and see if this was really where the Lord wanted me to be. and while, obviously he confirmed that in many ways, I was able to go on a much needed spontaneous adventure with my little brother. We went to the new soda pop shop in town, Rocket Fizz. I have never in my life seen so many different kinds of soda. I need to go back and try a new one, because I was somewhat of a lame-o and just got Ale81 because it reminds me of KY. But really, that trip changed my life, so why wouldn't I want to reminisce every once in a while?
