In the Midst of Waiting

4/8/13

Ladies,

My, oh my.  I have been quite the slacker as of late.  To be honest, I almost considered giving up on blogging, but even though my life has been quite a whirlwind as of late, I felt that the Lord has different plans.  Please accept my apology for slacking so much on here.  I really do want to get back into and I do have SO much to share with all of you!

Where to even begin?

The Lord has been continuing to guide me and teach me new things, literally every day!  It is truly a blessing, but let me tell you, sometimes you have to go through times of waiting to see the Lord work.  That is where I am currently at... a season of waiting.

Side story very quickly...

I go to a large Christian school and we have leadership here that leads the girls on our halls in prayer groups ever week, as well as a few other positions in leadership "above" them (but not really above at all because my prayer leaders are stinkin' amazing).  I am currently serving as an Spiritual Life Director to the Prayer Leaders.  "Above" me are Resident Assistants.  I tried out for Resident Assistant next year  and I made it!  Say, what?!  The super shy, introverted homeschooled girl made RA?  How in the world?  By the grace of God, people, only by the grace of God!  Never in my life did I ever even think of being in a position of leadership like this, but obviously the Lord's has different plans.  I am so humbled and feel so privileged.  Goes to show that He really does equip the called, because I am in no way equipped to handle this on my own.  Praise God for his mercies and the strength he freely gives to us!
Anyway...
We must hire SLDs for next year.  My RA partner for next year (she is AWESOME!) still have not found our SLDs... and we were supposed to have them almost two weeks ago... Anytime now Lord, anytime.

So I'm waiting for SLDs.

Waiting for a man that is a spiritual leader.
Waiting for money for my mission trip.
Waiting for God's direction for the future.  Do I got to grad school, go home and get a job, or move overseas?

My friends, I don't know what it is that you are waiting on the Lord for and I don't have the "fix all" cure for waiting, cause by golly, I'm right there with you!

If you are in a season of waiting, seek the Lord!  Don't wait till you have the answer or the thing you have been waiting for, seek him today, right now!  Open his Word and be refreshed by his love, grace, and mercy.  Remember, he is not a God of confusion or chaos.  He is a God of peace and order.  He is constant.  He is omniscient.

"The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.  The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance."  Psalm 16:5

The Lord is your portion.  He says you have a beautiful inheritance.  Take heart, sisters.  Wait on the Lord.  Trust in Him.

"Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act."  Psalm 37:5

I pray that today you no matter whether you are in a place of abounding blessings, or you have many trials and burdens trying to bring you down, remember that the Lord is faithful and he is never-changing.  Trust in him, sweet friends.

    1. I'm not! I'm just hoping to be more consistent! Hopefully I will be starting with a more steady schedule this summer so maybe that will help. And thanks so much, that means a lot!
